Dr. Raymond A. Swirsky 64 of Daytona Beach died Saturday April 30 2005 at Indigo Manor. Dr. Swirsky was born in West Haven CT and came to this area in 2001 from Salem VA. He received his Ph. D. in chemistry from Virginia Tech where he taught in the Chemistry Department. He also holds a Doctorate in Philosophy a Masters in Mathematics and a Bachelor in Law. Dr. Swirsky was a chemical consultant. He was the previous owner of 2 chemical plants. Dr. Swirsky proudly served his country in Korea and Lebanon as a parachuter with the 101st Airborn. He was also a member of MENSA. The husband of the late Susan Dr. Swirsky is survived by a son Skyler Swirsky of Roanoke VA; 2 daughters Sunny Swirsky of Roanoke and Kimberly of CT; a sister Judith Antrum of Daytona Beach; a granddaughter Amethyst; his good friend Debbie Burke and a host of cousins nephews and friends.
