Raymond C. Eckert III, 71
of Port Orange passed
away peacefully on August
2, 2017. He was born on July
9th, 1946 in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, the son of the late Raymond &
Roberta Eckert II. He resided in New Jersey
for 35 years and spent the remaining 36 years
in Florida. Raymond served in the United
States Army 82nd Airborne and was honorably
discharged on September 20, 1971. His interests
during life were flying small planes,
Hobe Cats, loved the beach, and electronics.
During his early years, he sang on the Radio,
was in Kiwanis and coached little league. His
working years consisted of, owning his own
business Ray's Auto and working as a Bell Telephone
Motor Vehicle Contractor. Raymond
also served on the Ambulance Corporation
and was employed by Richey Cadillac North
and Keller Williams Realty. He was a member
of Cross Roads Ministries Daytona Beach for
12 years, where he was a Choir member, Life
Group Teacher, Men's Bible Study Leader and
many other duties within the Church throughout
the years. He was saved in May 17, 2005.
He is survived by his loving wife Deanne
Eckert, one brother Craig Eckert, one sister
Dorthea Belkin. His five children. Roberta
Holman (Chad), Raymond Eckert (Kim),
Davenne Henriques (Wilson), Robert Eckert
(Ann), Brett Eckert. His eight grandchildren,
Jaci Eckert, Aaron Eckert, Sydney Holman,
Andrew Henriques, Zachary Holman, Abby
Eckert, Christian Henriques, and Benjamin
Eckert. Funeral Services will be Saturday,
August 12th, at 2:00pm from the Cross Roads
Ministries, 1851 Clyde Morris Blvd, Daytona
Beach with full military honors. Inurnment
will be at The Cape Canaveral National Cemetery,
Mims, FL. at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
please consider his church the Cross
Roads Ministries. Arrangements have been
entrusted to the Lohman Funeral Home Port
Orange Florida.
