Raymond E. DeBaugh 93, of Port Orange, passed away at home on Tuesday April 11th. Raymond was born July 24, 1923 in Glen Arm, MD to Frederick and Emma (Paulis) DeBaugh. He proudly served in the United States Army in Europe during WWII, when at the age of 17 he was awarded the bronze star for saving his platoon. He was later awarded both the Purple Heart and Good Conduct medal in service of his country.
Raymond retired as a Sargent from the Baltimore, MD Police Dept. where he worked for 25 years as a motorcycle policeman. After retirement, Raymond made the move to Port Orange, Fl. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4089 and a lifetime member of the American Legion.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Mariette S. DeBaugh of Port Orange, Fl, a daughter Sandy Bloom and son Raymond Jr., both of Palm Harbor, Fl., his two grandchildren in Maryland, two stepdaughters Sandra Duhamel and Karen Tibbetts along with their spouses, and a stepson Marc Duhamel all from Maine.
There will be a Graveside Service with Military Honors celebrating Raymond's life on Monday April 24th beginning at 10a.m.at the Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Daytona Memorial Park (North Side) 1428 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach Fl.
