Ray Gonzalez Esquire passed away on August 1st 2009 at the Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach Florida due to complications with cancer. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday August 5 2009 at 10:30 am at Epiphany Catholic Church 201 Lafayette Street Port Orange. Ray Gonzalez was born on June 6th 1958 in Miami Florida to Dayra Gonzalez of Daytona Beach Shores and the late Dr. Ciro Gonzalez. Ray graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach with a Bachelors Degree in Aviation Management. He married the love of his life Nancy and settled in Port Orange where they raised their two children. He worked for Allstate Insurance and in 2006 Ray earned a law degree from Barry University in Orlando and established his practice as a partner in the firm of Gonzalez & Byrd P.A. He is survived by his wife Nancy son Chad daughter Tara brothers Ciro A. Gonzalez Jr. Esq. and Don Gonzalez Esq. and his mother Dayra. He will always be remembered for his love of surf sand and friendship but above all he will be remembered for the unbounded love that tied his family together.
