A memorial service for Randall "Clay" Hood, age 26, who died Thursday, May 29, 2014, will be held Wednesday, June 4th at 1pm at Holy Cross Church, 724 Big Tree Rd., South Daytona, FL 32117 with Pastor David Schillinger officiating.
Clay was born and raised in Daytona Beach and graduated from Seabreeze High School. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Orlando Magic and Florida Gators. He loved analyzing sport statistics and was well known amongst his friends and family for his extensive knowledge on the subject. His happy-go-lucky demeanor and his big heart moved him to seek ways in which to help those with disabilities. Clay touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and maintained his trademark quick wit and dry sense of humor all the way to the end. Above all, Clay was the most dependable and loyal friend you could wish for and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his mother Carolyn Hood, his father David Hood, his brother Charlie Hood, his sister Lauren Hood, his grandparents Charles and Vera Hood, his girlfriend Thuzar Moet, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends. Memorial contributions may be made in Clay's memory to Easter Seals Volusia and Flagler Counties, 1219 Dunn Avenue Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
