In Loving Memory of Ramon “Papo” Calzada

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Ramon “Papo” Calzada, who gained his wings on October 12, 2026, at the age of 69.

Born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in North Bay Shore, Long Island, Papo moved to Florida with his family in 1988.

Papo will forever be remembered for his contagious smile, joyful laughter, playful personality, and loving spirit. He enjoyed salsa music, spending time with family, and attending Stay For A Day Adult Day Health Care Center, which he proudly called going “to work.” His unforgettable expressions, especially his famous “I know!”, will continue to bring smiles to those who knew and loved him.

Papo was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Calzada, and sister, Aida Durán. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Aida Calzada; his sister, Noemy “Mimi” Cruz; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM, at Stay For A Day, 1001 Town Center Drive, Orange City, FL 32763.
