Ralph Michael Scalia age 82 of Port Orange formerly of Massachusetts went to his heavenly reward on Friday Christmas Day 2009. A Memorial service in his honor will be held Saturday January 16 2010; 11:00 AM at Belmont Street Baptist Church 25 Belmont St. Worcester MA with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Military honors and interment will be held Monday January 18 2010 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne MA. Ralph was born in Dorchester Massachusetts to John and Diana Scalia. He was a proud US Army Veteran of WWII and 1949 graduate of Suffolk University in Boston MA and dedicated his talents as a Credit Manager for Merck Sharp & Dohme Pharmaceutical Company in Needham MA. Ralph was a hardworking methodical gentleman with a dry sense of humor and a talent for financial planning. He enjoyed bowling tennis and baseball. He was an avid reader talented pianist handy man and loved studying history.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 58 years; Evy Scalia two children: Kenneth Scalia and his wife Karen Mashpee MA; Carol Brown her husband Randy Newport News VA; a brother Charles Scalia Boston MA; a sister; Annamae Menconi Newton MA 4 grandchildren Kristin Marani Allison Scalia Daniel Scalia and Julie Snow and 2 great granddaughters Alyssa and Allie.
