Ralph Lymburner passed peacefully into God's arms Jan. 12, 2020. Born in Portland, Maine on Jan. 25, 1935, Ralph chose a career in the US Navy and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran, serving as a Tin Can sailor. After discharge he lived in San Diego working at the Naval Hospital there as a communications manager. He loved Sheltie dogs and he and his wife Beverly, who preceded him in death in 2008, won many trophies with his champion Kirsti. Ralph was a Gold Life Master in Duplicate Bridge, he enjoyed the Metropolitan Bridge Club, it was his passion and he played three days a week. He also wrote many short stories for Elder Storytelling Place, an online blog. He leaves Joanne Zimmermann, his companion of ten years, and his two wonderful step-daughters; Cynthia Ann Banks of Chandler, AZ and Susan Hurn, East Tawkoni, TX. Joanne and Ralph enjoyed dancing, cruises and short trips several times a year. Joanne's children, Paul Cope, Vanessa Collins and Mark and Paula Zimmermann and their son Justin are included in Ralph's family. Also left are his purry friends, Dusty, Isis and "Nurse" Sasha, three loving cats. Sasha still remains faithfully on his bed. A memorial services will be celebrated at the Lighthouse Presbyterian Church in Ormond Beach on Friday, February 14 ^th at 10:00 am. A reception will follow.
