Ralph George Jordak was born on February 19, 1925 and passed away on February 17, 2017, just two days prior to his 92nd birthday. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Rudolph Jordak and Mary Hendricks. He served in the Army from 1943-1945 in General MacArthur's office in the Philippines, doing maps and photo reconnaissance. He met his wife, Alice Marie Steyer, at a roller skating rink. They married on 8/23/1952 and enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Together, they had three sons, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

He worked as an electromechanical draftsman and retired from Unisys. He and his family lived in Parma and Seven Hills, Ohio, Coral Springs and Margate, Florida and Simpsonville, South Carolina. He spent the last two years of his life in Port Orange, Florida.

His life's passions included ham radio (W8UXP), traveling the country in his RV, big band music of the 1950's, and radio controlled airplanes. He had a love for all animals, but had a special place in his heart for his dogs.

Services will include a Catholic Prayer Service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue, in Port Orange.; to be followed by interment, with Military Honors, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
