Our beloved Rakesh "Rock" Patel passed away on May 17, 2024, in Port Orange, Florida. He was born on August 22, 1978, in Los Angeles, California, to Rasiklal "Rocky" Patel and Alphie Cook, who preceded him in death.

He leaves behind his wife, Allison, his children: Tristen, Colton, Peyten, Giuliana, and Victoria, siblings Marcus (Stephanie) Cook and Devendra (Gabe) Balderas, grandfather Richard Wagner, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rock moved to Idaho in 1985, then to Florida in 1999, where he resided until his passing.
Rock was an amazing host and loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. He would be the first to say that family isn't just blood. He had many friends in Idaho and even more in Florida whom he considered family and was always there for them when needed. If you ever met Rock, it would be hard to walk away without a smile on your face, as he was the happiest and friendliest person you could meet. His smile was contagious, and his love for his wife and children was immeasurable.

There was no one like him. His love of singing was something he enjoyed, and having an amazing voice didn't hurt. He will be missed by many, and the void he left behind is vast.
A celebration of life will be held at his home in Port Orange on Saturday, May 25, 2024. A celebration of life will be held in Idaho at a later date.
