Pura Lorenzo 73 of Palm Coast Florida passed away on January 18 2012 at Florida Hospital Flagler Palm Coast. A visitation will be held Saturday January 21 2012 from 2:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 4:00 pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW Palm Coast. Pura was born and raised in Cuba moving to Queens NY in 1968. She then moved with her husband Leon to NJ. Here they became members of the Buenas Nuevas Church North Bergen NJ. Pura was a stay at home mom raising her family and doting on her husband. In 2001 they moved to Palm Coast FL. Here Pura became a member of the Casa De Alabanza church Bunnell FL. Pura was a faithful woman of God active in her church who always read her bible in her quiet moments. She spent her time cooking for her friends and family. Pura also enjoyed spending countless hours in her garden. Pura is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jose Augustin she is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years Leon Lorenzo of Palm Coast daughter Maria Lorenzo-Solano and her husband Leonardo Solano of Palm Coast brothers Armando Torres and his wife Adela Martinez of Jacksonville Alberto Rolando Jorge Bienvenido Damian Raul and Esteban all of Cuba. Pura was also the loving grandmother to two grandchildren Sonia and Leilani of whom she helped raise and one very special great grandchild Samuel. She also leaves behind her loving "Chispa" her Chihuahua.
