Phyllis Talbott 87 passed away peacefully on Thursday August 26 2010 at 2:45pm. She was born in Bedford VA and was a resident of Daytona Beach since 1957 where she was a member of Community United Methodist Church. Phyllis attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg Virginia. During World War II she worked as a Secretary at Naval Inspector Ordnance in Maryland. In Roanoke VA she worked as Office secretary for Norfolk and Western Railway. She was a member of Pelican Bay Country Club and former member of Oceanside Country Club Tomoka Oaks Country Club Cherry Laurel Garden Club Halifax River Yacht Club Halifax Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She is survived by her husband of 67 years F. Burks Talbott; one son Frank Talbott (Dione) of DeLeon Springs; one daughter Kay Caldwell (Everett) of DeLand; a beloved daughter-in-law Nancy Talbott; four grandchildren; Jennifer Frank Kayce and Kevin; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be held Monday 11am at Community United Methodist Church. Interment will immediately follow the service at Volusia Memorial Gardens in Ormond Beach. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Vitas (Hospice). Arrangements are under the careful direction of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home. 736 S.
