Phyllis M. Speaker 80 of Daytona Beach passed away on Sunday August 3 2008. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday August 8 2008 at 3:00 pm at the Christ Presbyterian Church 1035 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. She was born on December 18 1927 in St. Louis MI to Arthur and Lulu Shook. Mrs. Speaker was a graduate of Central Michigan University and taught high school English and Spanish. She was also a homemaker an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed reading. Phyllis was a good golfer and played Duplicate Bridge and earned her Life Master. She moved to this area in 1987 from Livoia MI and was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Willard Speaker survivors include her son and daughter in law Paul and Jean Speaker of Parrish FL and her daughter Lisa Speaker of Raleigh N.C. also her two grandchildren Courtney and Shannon Speaker .
