Obituary

Phyllis E. Kaler 90 of Palm Coast Florida passed away on June 23 2011 while surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was next to youngest of 11 children born in Rockport Maine on May 10 1921. She was the daughter of Roland & Annie Crockett and graduated from Rockport High School. Phyllis married the love of her life (Harold Kaler of Rockland Maine) in 1940. She was a devoted wife and mother of three. Over the years she loved gardening spending time with her family boating on the ocean and skiing and skating in the winter. After the children were grown Phyllis & Harold continued to enjoy their ocean experiences making several trips up and down the eastern seaboard from Camden to Ft Lauderdale. In 1984 Phyllis and Harold retired and moved to Palm Coast Florida. She will be remembered for her kind encouraging words optimistic outlook on life and unending love and devotion to her family.
Phyllis is survived by Harold her beloved husband of 71 years her daughter Nancy Connon and husband Jeff of Camden Maine her son Richard Kaler and his wife Pam of Overland Park Kansas her son Ted Kaler and his companion Bob Cluff of Land O Lakes Florida brother Harvey Crockett of Rockport Maine and sister Priscilla Crockett of Rockport Maine. Phyllis was also the loving grandmother to her six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A Celebration of Her Life will be held July 9th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a memorial service at 5:30 p.m. at the Kaler home.
