Phyllis G. Cantafio, 86 died Tuesday, June 30th at her home in Forest Lake Manor. A Graveside service in her honor will be held at 10:00 AM at Daytona Memorial Park, Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Entombment to follow service.

Phyllis was born in 1928 in Manhattan, NY, daughter of Frank and Carmela (Bresce) Giliberti, both deceased and sister of Michael Giliberti, also deceased. In 1949, she married Louis Frank Cantafio and was a long-time resident of Milford, CT until moving to the Charlotte, NC area in 2006. After surviving open-heart surgery in 2009, she moved to the Daytona Beach area in 2010, where she enjoyed the warm weather and the company of her little chihuahua, Princess.

She is survived by four children, Lucy (Cantafio) Baldwin, Frances (Cantafio) Baker, Louis Cantafio, Jr., all of whom live in the Daytona Beach area, and Phyllis M. Cantafio of Concord, NC. In addition she leaves six grandchildren Eric, Gina, Virginia, Michael, Frances and Phyllis and two great grandchildren, Michaelangelo and Mariella.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested the lighting of a candle in this online tribute.
