A Funeral Mass for Philip DiGioia age 71 of Lex Court Port Orange FL will be held Saturday May 27 2006 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church Port Orange FL at 11:00 AM with Reverend Raymond O?Leary Celebrating. The family will receive friends on Friday May 26 2006 at the Lohman Funeral Home from 2-4:00 PM & at 6:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 6:30 with Deacon Tom Tagye. Mr DiGioia passed away at Halifax Medical Center Daytona Beach FL on Tuesday May 23 2006. He was born on November 10 1934 in Monessen PA. He was the son of Santo and Virginia Nicolosi DiGioia and was a graduate of Monessen High School Class of 1952. Philip married Josephine Tegnelia on June 28 1959 and was a welder with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #353. He and his family lived in Carroll Twp for 22 years and were members of St. Philip Neri Parish. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving with the SAC Unit during The Korean War. Philip is survived by his wife Josephine Tegnelia of 48 years. A son Rick Monica DiGioia of Streetsboro OH; 2 daughters Donna George Katula of Savannah GA. and Diane Stephen Beninato of Maitland FL. A sister Josie DiGioia Iacovangelo of Monongahela PA and 6 grandchildren; Michael Fleming and Sarah Katula Stephen and Nikki Beninato Natalie and Dominic DiGioia and numerous nieces and nephews.
