Peter P. Ranto Sr. 94 passed away peacefully on Thursday February 28 2013 at Signature Health Care in Ormond Beach FL where he has had loving care for many years. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 5 2013 at 10:00 A.M at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Ave Daytona Beach FL 32114. There will be a visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M for friends prior to the service. Peter served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of WWII and was also a member of the American Legion in Trenton New Jersey. Peter enjoyed painting working in his garden and most of all he was a dedicated family man. Those left to cherish his memory are his children Betty (Bill) Bowers Debby Mercantini Peter Paul (Sue) Ranto Jr. Linda (Rod) Phillips Janice Caroen; brother John Ranto; and sister Evelyn Schreiber. He will also be remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Peter is now at peace with his late wife Shirley Ranto.
