A Memorial Service for Peter Petersen 88 of Port Orange will be held from 2 pm to 3 pm Friday May 20 2005 at the Hospice Care Center 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange with The Rev. Bev Richardson officiating. Mr. Petersen entered into eternal rest on Saturday May 14 at Hospice Care Center. Peter was born May 25 1916 in Oslo Norway. Peter and his wife Gladys moved to this area from Glenford NY in 1986. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #4089 and the American Legion Post #270 both in Port Orange. He was a restaurateur in Glenford NY for many years. Peter enjoyed bowling and was extremely proud of his first place finish on the 2000-2001 Pickwick Bowling League Team. He also enjoyed fishing. Peter is survived by his wife Gladys; sons Howard Candy Hopkins of West Hurley NY; Barry Karen Hopkins of Catskill NY and Bruce Jeanette Hopkins of Sioux City IA and a daughter Dawn Harold Axon of Woodstock NY. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Burial services will be held in New York. Condolences may be sent via the family guest book at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
