Peter James Moran 78 lived at Crane Lakes in Port Orange passed away peacefully on August 17 2010 from melanoma cancer. Peter was born in New Rochelle NY on March 3 1932. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Barbara Detrick Moran; daughter Gloria (Henk) Huussen; and son Peter James; grandchildren Gail (Greg) Montgomery Steven (Jessica) Paul Christine (Jeremy) Griffith Nicole (Drew) Jundt; great grandchildren Wesley Montgomery Eilee Griffith and Alexis Stratman; brother-in-law Fred M. (Virginia) Detrick; sister-in-law Joan (Paul) Parker; and he leaves many nieces and nephews. He attended Columbia University in New York City. Pete started his career in retail at Bloomingdales in NYC. As a merchant he traveled extensively and made numerous buying trips to both Europe and the Far East. During the 80's Pete and Barbara moved many times. Always making friends where ever they went - from Pittsburgh PA to Cleveland OH St Paul MN Towson MD Redington Beach FL Edison NJ before his retirement from Kaufman's in Rochester NY. He enjoyed golf reading dining out a good joke and spending time with his family. A special thanks to all the friends at Crane Lakes for their many well wishes and cards.
