Obituary

Peter Flintroy was born on August 19 1919 to Peter and Elizabeth Flintroy in Ouachita Parish in Monroe Louisiana. He departed this life on June 28 2010 at 11:31 p.m.

His family later migrated to California. In his early years he grew up between two families his mother and father and an Aunt and Uncle Floyd and Rose Nelson of Dallas Texas. He later enlisted in the army in World War II for active duty on August 28 1940. He served for five years and was honorably discharged on September 16 1945. After his service in the Army wanting to travel he stopped in Denver Colorado with his sister Charlotte. Later he with his brother Ray went to N ew York where he spent his working years. He worked for the United States Immigrations Service Records Division for 16 years. He later went into private industry managing first in a night club for Wilt Chamberlin and James McDougal. Then into managerial position in construction for the Mac family. Later he retired and moved to Daytona Beach Florida with his wife Reather. He lived an active life traveling around the world. Peter had a quiet and peaceful demeanor. He was always ready to help anyone who needed it and he was a good listener.

He leaves behind to mourn a wife of 52 years Reather Flintroy whom he loved dearly a sister Annie Johnson of Sacramento California a brother Jimmy Johnson of San Jose California and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
