Obituary

Peggy Lee Butcher passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday September 9 2008 in Daytona Beach. She was born in Titusville FL on October 15 1942. Ms. Butcher attended Mainland High School and completed her education at Mary Karl Vocational School where she received her high school diploma and a degree in business. She worked as a waitress in Daytona Beach for 40 years and then worked for the Volusia County School Board until she retired in 1991. There will be a funeral service on Friday at 11:00 at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home 736 S. Beach Street Daytona Beach and a visitation preceding the service beginning at 10:30.
Peggy was the devoted wife of Jennings Butcher for 46 years and the loving mother of three children Julie Randy and Mitch. She was a caregiver to family and many friends in need. Her hobby's included being the cheerleader for her husband at countless softball tournaments dancing spoiling her grandchildren and preparing a seafood feast for all those she loved.
Mrs. Butcher is predeceased by her son Randy Butcher her grandson Randy Laible her mother father brother and sister. She is survived by her husband Jennings R. Butcher daughter Julie Laible and son Stewart Mitchell Butcher all residing in Daytona Beach. She is also survived by her granddaughter Chere Moran of Pittsburg PA her two sisters Joyce Canada of St. Augustine and Rena Stearns of Daytona Beach and three great grandchildren.
