Paul McCallum, 82, was born in Renick, Missouri on October 12, 1934, one of ten children born to Joseph and Anna McCallum (O'Byrne). Paul attended Glennon High School in Kansas City, Missouri where he met and fell in love with his wife of nearly 62 years, Mary Ann McCallum. Paul was an Air Force Veteran, serving 4 years as a radioman and electronics specialist. Paul and Mary Ann spent the first year of their marriage in Orlando while Paul was stationed at Pinecastle Air Force Base. Paul and Mary Ann returned to Kansas City where Mary Ann gave birth to Timothy, their only child. After 30 years as an electrician and installer for AT&T, Paul briefly retired and then worked for an additional 5 years as a consultant for Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems. In 1996, Paul and Mary Ann both retired for good and moved to Daytona Beach Shores where they had spent their honeymoon and family vacations nearly every year. Paul could do and fix anything. He was a proud veteran who loved his country, the beach, Mary Ann and Tim, and his grandson, Brendan. Mary Ann and Tim were at home with Paul when he passed away on October 1, 2017. After a lengthy illness and a hard-fought battle, Paul now resides peacefully in Heaven. He is survived by Mary Ann, Tim and Brendan, 5 brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
