Paul A. Ledwich Sr. 66 of New Smyrna rode to heaven on the wings of angels on May 16 2009. He was born in Lowell Massachusetts on January 3 1943 to Edward and Marguerite Ledwich. Paul devoted his life working as a nurse in various nursing homes and emergency medical facilities. He loved Florida and relocated to New Smyrna Beach for the final time in 2003. Paul enjoyed spending quiet mornings on the vast beaches of Volusia County and spending time with his family who he adored immensely. As a hobby he enjoyed collecting angels and helping anyone in need. Paul will be remembered most for his unique sense of humor his quick smile and his truly giving nature; he will be truly missed by all who knew him. Paul is survived by his wife of 45 years Bonnie; his children Charlene Paul Jr. Debbie Amanda Tommy and Dan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Kyle Mia Matt Brian Faith Sebastyn and Colton and his brother Edward; along with many other friends and relatives. The family is having a private service and request that memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to Hospice of Volusia Flagler 4140 S. Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL 32114 in Paul's name.
