Paul Francis Holub Sr., 86 of Ormond Beach, passed away on Sunday morning April 28, 2013 at Florida Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation will be held to honor the life of Paul F. Holub Sr. on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 West Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday May 2, 2013 at Prince of Peace Church, 600 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL. Burial services with military honors will follow at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue Daytona Beach FL.

Paul was born on April 29 1926 in Sharpesville PA to the late Agnes and Paul Holub. At the young age of 17 he proudly joined the Navy to serve his country where he was a diver and cabinet maker. While on a short leave from the Navy he met Grace Margaret Glew of Fall River MA and they married shortly afterward. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he and Grace settled in Sharon PA before moving to West Haven CT where they raised their family until moving to Ormond Beach FL in 1972.

With his years of experience as a master carpenter Paul built many beautiful homes in both CT and FL. He was also an avid golfer playing in and winning many pro/am tournaments as a member of Orange Hills Country Club in Orange CT and later as a member of Riviera Country Club in Ormond Beach FL.

Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife Grace M. Holub of Ormond Beach FL in 1983. Paul is survived by his daughters Kathleen Carbrey and husband John of Ormond Beach FL Patricia Hoagland and husband Charles of Ormond Beach. Marjorie Holub of Philadelphia PA Barbara Hayes and husband Kenneth of Ormond Beach. and his sons Paul F. Holub Jr. and Deborah Gormley of Ormond Beach. and Joseph Holub of Ormond Beach FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren John Carbrey of Ormond Beach. Jennifer Beattie Ovido FL Daniel Carbrey Orlando FL Kelly Hoagland Orlando FL Lisa Hoagland Orlando FL Rachel Winn Chicago IL Christopher Winn Mount Pleasant SC Kenneth Hayes Ormond Beach. FL Melissa Yoon Ormond Beach. FL Bryan Shaffer Ormond Beach. FL Ava Gormley Ormond Beach. FL and Jessica Holub Ormond Beach. FL eleven great grandchildren Colleen and Emily Carbrey Robert and Lauren Beattie Hadley Winn Ethan Amelia and Elliot Yoon and Hayden Max and Avery Hayes along with several nieces and nephews. Paul leaves behind his sister Dorothy Volsko of Sharon PA his dear sister-in-law and longtime companion Lillian Cushing of Ormond Beach FL his cousin Joann Clements of Daytona Beach. FL and his fond cousin Thomas Fowler (who looked up to Paul as his big brother) and wife Marlene of Reddick FL.
