Obituary

Paul Edward Hoffmann, 75, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on June 26, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife, Lucy, and granddaughter Silvana.

He was born to parents Edward and Lorraine Hoffmann, on September 24, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Bishop Laughlin High School and then entered the Air Force where he served for four years, during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1972. He then attended and received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Toledo. He always received distinguished honors for his work and service.

He married Lucy, the love of his life, in 1968, who survives him after 53 years of marriage. Paul is survived by his two sons, Paul Jr. and Christopher as well as three grandchildren, Silvana, Massimo and Vincenzo. He is also survived by his siblings, James, Nancy, Edith, Eugene, Marie, John, Judy as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Paul was known for his love for his family and friends always there to offer advice or help when needed. He was a passionate Catholic and Knights of Columbus member who held God in the highest regard. He loved to travel, especially to Aruba every year with his wife Lucy, where he met and retained several lasting relationships with people from all over the country and in Canada. He was known for his big heart, quick wit, and sense of humor. No matter where Paul went, he always made others feel welcome and was able to make them laugh!

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 8:30am at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, Port Orange, Florida. His ashes will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Daytona Memorial Park & Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, Port Orange, Florida."
