Paul Emile Fournier, 98, died September 9, 2014, surrounded by family at Halifax Hospice Care in Port Orange, Florida. He was born on August 19, 1916. His wife of 60 years, Simone, preceded him in death. Two brothers, Roland of San Jose, California, and Lorenzo of Massena, New York also preceded him in death. Paul is survived by his sons, Marcel (Lila) Fournier, Paul (Carolyn) Fournier and daughter Annette Fournier, as well as his grandchildren; Debbie (John Cervini), Jo Anne Fournier (Mary Jo Brenner), Lori (Gary Clark), Michelle (Ivan Dyke), Michael (Marco), Nicole (Paul Moss), Anne Marie (Scott) Milo, Lee Marose as well as many great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Massena, New York and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge in Massena. He worked at Alcoa, Seaway Bowl and in Real Estate. Paul was known for his love of Yankees Baseball, bowling, golf, chocolate chip cookies and hot fudge sundaes. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren for his "golden arm", story his little smirk while amazing them "wiggling his ears", but most of all for the quiet comfort of his love. A gathering will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127 from 4:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M with a service of remembrance beginning at 5:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to Sacred Heart Church, 212 Main St, Massena, NY 13662.
