Paul M. Evans, Sr., 69, of Port Orange passed away on March 16, 2014.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at White Chapel Church of God, 1730 S Ridgewood Ave, South Daytona, FL 32119. Burial will immediately follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
Paul was born on July 10, 1944 in Daytona Beach to the late Laura Cameron and William Evans.
He attended Mainland High school leaving early to serve in the United States Coast Guard. Upon his return home he finished school and then attended Daytona State College specializing in electronic technology.
Paul ran his own electronic company "Evans Electronics" serving the Volusia County area for many years. He later worked for the Volusia County School System and Embry Riddle Aeronautical College.
Paul enjoyed everything with computers and technology. He loved using his Hamm Radio and helping his church with anything technical.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, friend, and devout Christian.
Paul was a past member of the Christian Motor Cycle Club, and a parishioner at White Chapel for 43 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Laura Evans; brothers, Joseph "Joe" Evans, and William "Billy" Evans.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Judy M. (Arnold) Evans; son Paul M. Evans Jr. and his wife Patty; daughter, Christina Evans; siblings, Frank Evans, Marian "Betty" Miller; grandchildren, Amber Evans, Christopher Evans; many extended family members, and close friends.
