Obituary

Paul L. DeLuca, 70, passed away, unexpectedly, in his sleep August 10, 2021.  He was born in New York, NY and grew up in Manhattan and Lake Hopatcong, NJ.  After serving in the Marines on a sub tender in Rota Spain during the Vietnam War, Paul attended the Eastern School of Musical Instrument Repairs and was sought out by professional horn players in the NJ/NY area for his meticulous repair work.  He moved to Florida in 1979 with the love of his life, Nancy.  They worked together in the timeshare and travel industry for over 35 years, including the past 19 years in their own business, and retired in 2020.

Known for his quick wit and big heart, Paul endeared himself to everyone he met.  He was a genuine good guy with old-school values.  Paul was passionate about his cars, the NY Yankees and his close circle of friends.  He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Alphonsius, and his beloved dogs:  Casey (Labradoodle), Sailor (Chesapeake Bay Retriever) and Sheba (Doberman).

He is survived by his wife Nancy and dogs Luca and Jeter, and his sister Tessie Morris (Daytona Beach) and niece Cheridyn Morris (Seattle) and his brother Phil DeLuca (Orlando) and his half-sister Dee Wawrzaszek (Coconut Creek).

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach, 733 W. Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.  Paul's wife, Nancy, will be holding a Celebration of Life reception, with food and drinks, at a different location from 1pm to 4pm (details will be supplied at the visitation).  She hopes everyone attending the visitation will be her guest at the reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Halifax Humane Society, Daytona Beach.
