Paul Thomas (Tom) Burger went to be with the Lord on July 24 after a massive heart attack. He came to Florida in 1981 from Greenville, SC to manage the DeLand plant for Eastern Business Forms. Tom loved college football and was an avid Florida Gator fan. He was passionate about giving blood and platelets, having given regularly since the 80's. He was a loyal volunteer for the Halifax Humane Society in the cat room for the past 11 years. Tom was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church where he served as a past Deacon and was currently serving as a lead usher. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sherry Burger, and his three sons, Jeffrey Burger, Chad Burger and Stacey Burger along with his step children Rick Croft and Nicki Croft Hannon, his sister, Dotha Barham and brother Richard Burger and 8 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden Fund, 1035 West Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach 32174, or to the Halifax Humane Society at 2364 LPGA Blvd., Daytona 32124. The service will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 29, 2017.
