Paul J."PJ" Atkison age 62 of S. Daytona passed away after a short illness in his home on Thursday August 6 2009. A funeral service in his honor will be held Tuesday August 11 2009; 4:00 PM at the Port Orange chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home a visitation will be held Monday August 10 2009; 5-8PM.

PJ was born in Greenville S. Carolina to Paul and Marion Atkison. He served his country in the US Navy and dedicated his talent as a carpet installer. He was a proud past president charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 4401 who worked tirelessly raising funds for several charities mostly Alzheimer's. PJ a Willy Nelson look alike will best be remembered as the eternal "Rebel Biker bad boy " who loved hard and did things his own way. In his early years he enjoyed the beaches and until he passed was a lover of Classic cars car show Captain Morgan and riding motor cycles.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father P. Vernon Atkison a daughter Donna Thompson her husband Joe 3 grandchildren; Joey Courtney and Christopher a great granddaughter Autumn his sister Pam Atkison her children; Brandon and Britany an aunt Evelyn Brooks his lifelong companion Pam Dawes and many devoted friends. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona Beach.
