I t is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Patrick Xavier Velasquez, a man whose life was marked by passion, purpose, and love. He was a beloved husband, father, brother to Fatima Velasquez and his late brother David Velasquez, friend, and mentor to many, and his passing has left a void that can never be filled. From the moment he was born to Nelly Calvache and his late father Elias Velasquez on September 13, 1965, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Patrick showed a remarkable spirit and drive that would define his life. At the age of 12, he started his own karate school, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for teaching. Throughout his life, he continued to pursue his many interests with unwavering dedication and enthusiasm. As an Infantryman for The United States Marine Corps, Patrick served his country with honor and distinction. He continued his service as a paramedic, dedicating his life to helping others in their time of need. As a bodyguard, he ensured the safety of those he protected, and as the Worshipful Master of Sanford Lodge in the Masonic organization, he embodied the principles of brotherhood, charity, and truth. Patrick was a man of many talents, and his passion for technology allowed him to become a leader and mentor in the field of information technology. He was known for his knowledge and skills, which touched the lives of many people. Above all, Patrick was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Janet. Together, they were an incredible team, using their love and teamwork to raise their family. He was protective, caring, loving, and a provider to his family. He was an amazing father, coach, and mentor to his three sons, Kevin, Xavier, and Elias, supporting them in every passion they pursued. His youngest son, Elias, had a special connection with his father, who coached and mentored him from mighty-mites football all the way to playing college football. And with Kevin and Xavier Patrick had his own personal bond with them through the many sports, organizations, community functions, and school events that strengthened their bond with him. Patrick's infectious laughter and joyful spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He had a way of bringing light to any situation, and his quick wit and sense of humor were a constant source of delight to his family and friends. He was truly the joker of the family, always ready to bring a smile to the faces of those around him. Patrick's legacy will continue through his sons, who will carry on his values, principles, and passion for life. He touched the lives of many, and his memory will be forever etched in our hearts. He is survived by his wife Janet, his three sons Kevin (Rachel), Xavier, and Elias, and his granddaughter Anaise. Rest in peace, Patrick. You will be dearly missed.
