Patrick George Collins age 80 passed away Tuesday October 5 2010 at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach while surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed. The family of Mr. Collins will receive friends and family at Cardwell Funeral Home Friday October 8 2010 at 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. and the Memorial Service will celebrate his life at 6 p.m. Mr. Collins was born in White Plains New York on September 13 1930. Patrick was a longtime resident of Port Orange. Patrick loved to ride motorcycles fish and enjoyed wood carving. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Daytona Beach and a member of the GWRRA motorcycle club. Mr. Collins was also a member of The Maryland Club. Those who are left to cherish his memory are two sons Michael Collins (wife: Sherene) of Odenton MD. and Richard Collins (wife: Tricia) of Gambrills MD; six grandchildren include: three grandsons Brian Casey and Kyle and three grand daughters Carinne Chelsea and Devyn. Mr. Collins was a Navy veteran. Patrick retired as a PEPCO employee with 35 years service where he was General Forman. Arrangements are under the entrusted care of Cardwell Funeral Home.
