Patricia A. Stiver 68 passed away on May 23 2010. A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 3rd at 11:00am at Unity of Daytona 908 Ridgewood Avenue Holly Hill FL. Pattie was born in Plattsburg NY and was a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School class of 1959. Pattie had three main passions in life; her faith education and music. She received her Bachelor's Degree in education from the State University of New York her Master's Degree from Albany State University and had continued her education throughout the years. Pattie taught both 5th and 6th grade remedial math for Schoharie Central School in New York for 34 years and was the Schoharie Teachers Association President for eight terms prior to her retirement. Her adoration for music led her to become a member of the Middleburg Summer Band the Mohawk Valley Chorus (which toured Europe twice) the Esperance Band and the choir at the Reformed Church in Schoharie. In 2005 she relocated to Daytona Beach where she quickly became part of the Bel Canto Singers as well as an active member of the Daytona Beach Concert Band the Symphonic Concert Band the Ormond Beach Choral Society the Volusia County Community Chorus as well as an integral part of the choir at Unity Church in Daytona. Those who knew her would describe her as being exceptionally generous exceedingly organized and steadfast in her morals and convictions. She will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her. Left to cherish her memory are; nephews Brian and Gary Wuestefeld; cousin Patricia Downs Hamlin; ex-husband Donald Stiver and many dear friends.
