Patricia Jean Shutts, 93, of Orange City passed away Monday
January 18, 2021 at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in
Orange City. She was born on September 11, 1927 in DeLand,
the daughter of the late Arthur Eugene and Tess (Roberts)
Kepler. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 AM Monday
January 25, 2021 at DeLand Memorial Gardens, 600 Beresford
Ave., DeLand.
Patty enjoyed sewing, teaching Sunday School and spending
time with her daughter and son-in-law at their summer home in
Virginia. She was the past president of the American Legion
Auxiliary Post 127 in Lake Helen, worked for Southern Bell and
retired from Sherwood.
She was the widow of her late, loving husband Lawrence (Bud)
Shutts and is survived by her daughter Mary Jane Taylor
(Richard), her sister, Ginger Hensley of Mt. Juliet, TN, her
nieces ; Teresa Sherer (Jimmy) of Murfreesboro, TN, Kim Sligh
(Dr. Charles) of Nashville, TN and Ann Kepler of DeLeon
Springs. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tod Kepler
and nephew, Gene Kepler.

Blake Christian Academy c/o Blake Baptist Church, 134 N.
Euclid Ave. Lake Helen or to Halifax Health Hospice Care
Center, 1625 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Orange City, FL 32763.
