Patricia Palumbo Mendel 72, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on October 6, 2013 peacefully at her home. All services are to be held at a later date.

Patricia was born and raised in Reading Pennsylvania. She graduated from Catholic H.S. then attended Technical School in Philadelphia. Patricia met and married her husband Thomas W. Mendel in 1977 and together they had one son Thomas G. Mendel.

Patricia was employed as a chemical technician for the Western Electric company a division of AT&T for 10 years retiring in 1980, at that time she became a stay at home mom. Patricia and her family relocated to Thailand, where they lived for eight years and she was involved in the promoting of the handmade articles by the women of Thailand. Patricia and her family returned to Pennsylvania then to Palm Coast, Florida in 1998.

Patricia was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, Roberts Rules of Order and a Mentor at the Flagler H.S. She had a love for exercise attending spinning class at least three times a week and enjoyed a good run. She was a loving and caring wife and mother and will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Thomas W. Mendel of Palm Coast, son Thomas G. Mendel of Palm Coast, Stepson Michael Mendel of Pennsylvania, Sisters Jean Villari of New Jersey, Lori Tarnoski of Pennsylvania, brother in law John Wentzel of Palm Coast.
