Patricia C. Loughlin 71 of Port Orange passed away on March 6 2011 in Port Orange. The family will receive friends on Thursday (today) March 10 2011 from 3-5pm followed by a 5pm service at the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Avenue Port Orange. Pat spent most of her life in Syracuse New York where she was a dedicated mother with a vivacious spirit. She spent 9 years on Topsail Island NC before moving to Florida and spending most summers on Sebago Lake ME with her husband Jake. Pat was survived by her husband Robert (Jake) Loughlin her six children Deborah Newsome (Newt) Maureen Papaleo (Joe) Donald McCarthy(Sigolene) Beth Gerde (Chris) Theresa Dickens (Steve) Thomas McCarthy (Rekha) her husband Jake's children; Robert Patricia and Thomas and James. Pat also had 19 grandchildren. Pat was active for many years in CNY Women's District Golf and the Cavalry Club in Manlius NY. Pat chaired the Babe Zaharias Memorial Golf Tournament driving record proceeds for the local unit of the American Cancer Society. Pat loved entertaining golfing dancing singing vacationing at the beach and most importantly spending time with her loving family and friends. She was a warm kindhearted and generous woman with a passion for life. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to The American Lung Association.
