Patricia Ann Flanigan-Schaefer, 66 passed away peacefully in her Port Orange home on June 14, 2015 with her family by her side.
Born March 4, 1949, in Atlantic City, NJ, Patricia was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ann Flanigan. She was a graduate of Holy Spirit Grammar School, Atlantic City High School, Atlantic Cape Community College (A.S.), University of Delaware (B.S.N.), and Kapella University (M.S.N.).
Patricia thoroughly loved her family, friends, nursing, the beach, and traveling. She was a beloved RN for 38 years, a devout Catholic, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3282 in Port Orange. In 1970, Patricia married the love of her life, Victor, and spent many loving, fun years together in NJ, before venturing to sunny Florida. This September would have marked the 46th anniversary of their marriage.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Victor; a daughter, Stacie of Port Orange; a sister, Ellen of Clermont, FL; a brother, Walter of Millville, NJ; and many nieces, nephews cousins and close friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 19, at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 201 Dunlawton Ave., with a 7 p.m. Catholic Prayer Service by Fr. John Bosco Maison from the Catholic Church of the Epiphany Port Orange.
