Patricia C. Babcock 87 passed away May 2 2013 in the presence of her loving family. She was born on September 17 1925 to James and Caroline Gill in Chicago IL. Pat loved reading working with puzzles. She loved animals and spending precious time with her family and was a loving grandmother. Pat was a good friend and volunteer of the New Smyrna Library where she received her 25 year honorarium pin for her dedicated service; she was an active member of the Lions Club and volunteer at the Pink Door where she was an active Pink Lady. A memorial service will take place May 7 2013 3:30 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave Port Orange Fl. She leaves to cherish her memory 4 daughters Janet Patzer Beverly Mattila Carolyn(John)Moseley and Jean Porath. 1 brother James Gill 6 grandchildren 8 great-grandchildren 1 niece a host of nephews and friends and "Buttons" her dog. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 42 years John Babcock; her Son-in law Mathew Mattila 2 brothers Kenneth and William and her dog "Corky". In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Halifax Hospice Port Orange. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Cardwell Funeral Home Port Orange.
