Obituary

Pamela Joy Rockett 57 of Port Orange passed away on December 12th following a long illness. She was born June 29 1954 at the Biloxi Missippi Air Force Base while her father was on a Marine Corps assignment in the area. Subsequently the family moved to North Carolina and Massachusetts before settling in Bowie Maryland. Mrs. Rockett graduated from Bowie High School and attended Frostburg State College before moving to the Daytona area in 1984. Mrs. Rocket worked as an accountant at Embry Riddle University where she completed a Bachelor's in Business Administration. She received a Masters in Accounting at the University of Central Florida. She became a Certified Public Accountant establishing a practice in Port Orange. She also served as President of the Chamber of Commerce Port Orange. Mrs. Rockett enjoyed hiking horseback riding dancing and fishing. She is survived by her mother Cora S. Fletcher South Daytona her husband Robert L. Rockett and son Daniel Daytona Beach brother John Fletcher sister in law Carolyn niece Lia ( Ryan) Thornton and sons TJ and William; niece Kristan (David) Khtikian all living in the Boston Area; her uncle Lee Bean and aunt Stella Amerman and a cousin Darryl Bean all living in Pennsylvania. and her cousin Sharon (Walter) Neiser Arkansas her cousin Tommy and his wife Mary Nevada Pamela's father Ralph John Fletcher and her brother Donald Howard Fletcher are deceased. Pamela was a member of the Catholic Church of Epiphany Port Orange. Funeral Service for Pamela will be held 3 PM Saturday December 17 2011 in the Chapel of the Cardwell Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 2:30 PM until service time. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery Port Orange. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Epiphany Catholic Church in honor of Pamela Joy Rockett or the Westminster- By-The- Sea Presbyterian Church Daytona Beach in memory of the love and support the staff and congregation always extended to her.
