Funeral Service for Margarita Verdinez and her grandson Osvaldo Caro who died tragically in a car accident on their way to vacation and reunite with family in Mexico will be held on Monday June 21st at 10am at St. Peter Catholic Church in DeLand FL with Fr. Julian officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Pinehurst Cemetery in DeLeon Springs. Margarita and Osvaldo's family will receive friends on Sunday June 20th from 4:00-6:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home DeLand with a prayer service at 5:00pm. Margarita was born in El Magistral Jalisco Mexico. She met and married her husband Christobal and together they moved to this area over 30 years ago. Margarita was a loving daughter sister wife mother and grandmother. She had an amazing ability to care for everyone in the family. She loved gardening and cooking. She was a hard working woman and a good person; honest and kind. Her family especially her grandchildren was the love of her life. Osvaldo had just completed 5th grade t McLnnis Elementary School and was looking forward to starting middle school at Southwestern. He was fun loving cheerful and playful and yet always so helpful to his family and friends even at such a young age. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved swimming skating video games and four-wheeling. Margarita and Osvaldo will be so greatly missed by their family. They are preceded in death by Margarita's mother Josefina Meza. They are survived by Margarita's father Silverio Meza. Her husband (Osvaldo's Grandfather) Cristobal Verdinez of DeLeon Springs FL; Margarita's daughter and son-in-law Osvaldo's parents Marisa Verdinez and Pedro Caro of DeLeon Springs FL; two other daughters and sons in law Susan and Salavador Nunez of Orlando FL and Christina and Juan Carlos Gonzalez of DeLeon Springs FL; a son and daughter in law Guillermo and Carmen Verdinez of DeLeon Springs Fl; three other grandchildren; Francisco Verdinez Juan Carlos Gonzalez Jr. and Kaitlyn B. Nunez; and two brothers: Rafael Meza of DeLeon Springs FL and Antonio Meza of DeLand FL; and seven sisters: Luisa Muniz Estela Meza Elena Gomez Josefina Estrada Romelia Gomez all of DeLeon Springs FL; Sara Felix and Juana Ramirez both of DeLand FL; Osvaldo's grandparents: Jesus & Elvira Caro of Jalisco Mexico; and many nieces and nephews (Osvaldo's cousins).
