Evelyn C. Orr
Evelyn C. Orr 97 Deland Fla. died August 15 2008 at Ridgewood Nursing Home in DeLand after a period of failing health. She was born in Haverhill Mass. to Rufus L. and Christine (Haseltine) Jennings May 8 1911. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School Haverhill Mass. and Hesser Business College in Manchester N.H. For many years she worked for Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company. After retiring she also worked at Henderson Associates and the Supervisory Union School District Goffstown N.H. Mrs. Orr lived most of her life in Goffstown and was active in the Uncanoonuc Grange White Shrine of Manchester past matron of O.E.S. Chapter # 6 of Goffstown and Shirley Club of Goffstown. She also volunteered at the Senior Citizens Center of Goffstown. After moving to Florida in 1977 she continued to do volunteer work with the Council on Aging and American Red Cross. Evelyn enjoyed her residency at The Cloisters in Deland for the past 11 years. She was preceded by her husband of 30 years Lloyd F. Orr and her sister Barbara Carleton. Family includes brother Frederick C. Jennings Goffstown N.H. and several nieces and nephews.
