Memorial service for Mr. Orlando Gionfriddo 83 of Putnam Ave in Ormond Beach will be held on Friday December 15 at 5:30 pm in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with the Rev. Bob Moorehead officiating. His family will receive friends from 5:00 pm till time of service. Mr. Gionfriddo was the owner and operator of "Orlando and Sons" repair center in Ormond Beach for over 40 years. An Army veteran of WW II he served in the armored division under General Patton in Africa. Orlando was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church the Elks the Civitans VFW and the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce. He got his pilot's license in his 50's and even owned his own plane. He loved to fly but above all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Esther and their 6 children: Joseph and his wife Barbara Corrado and his wife Julie Lucille Rossi and her husband "Rossi" Jo-Ann Duran all of Ormond Beach Micky Carlisle and her husband Joe of Port Orange and Carmella White and her husband Robert also of Port Orange. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren many nieces nephews and extended family.
