Opal G. Howard age 91 of New Smyrna Beach passed away in her home one Saturday June 12 2010. A funeral service in her honor will be held on Wednesday June 16 2010 11:00 AM at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday; 5:00-7:00 PM Opal was born in Otway Ohio to Andrew and Flora Branhan. She dedicated her life as a home maker and loving wife to her husband and sons. She came to the area in 1977 and enjoyed cooking reading her bible and tending her garden. She was a honorable woman with great integrity and could cook anything she grew. Her beloved husband of 57 years Rev. Lewis Howard Sr. preceded her in death 12 years ago. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons; Lewis Howard Jr. and his wife Terry and William R. Hull 3 grandchildren: Louis Howard of North Carolina Kena Mease NSB Christian Lee Scott Deland: 7 great grandchildren; Ashley Kemen Zachary Howard Skylar Hilton Heaven Howard Devon Firtzsimmons Austin Fritzsimmons and Katelyn Lewis and a nephew James "Buck" and his wife Edith Branham.
