Ola (Christine) Moore born in Gastonia North Carolina on August 31 1924 passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 16 2009. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 20 2009 at 11:00am at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach FL. Family will receive friends on Thursday November 19 2009 from 4 to 6pm. Christine was born to Oscar W. Dills and Belle W. Dills both of whom are deceased. She attended Strayer College in Knoxville TN where she majored in accounting. She retired from Alexander Construction as the office manager. She was devoted to her church Spruce Creek Baptist Church and for five years held a weekly Bible study class at Terrace Nursing Home in Daytona Beach and was the Senior Ladies Sunday school teacher. Christine also loved crossword puzzles animals and crocheting afghans for her many friends and family. Preceding her death was her husband William E. Moore and 2 sisters Dolores Schweitzer and Willie Dickson. Left to mourn her passing are 3 sisters Barbara (Bob) Mecham of Port Orange; Joy (Al) Boyd of Grantsboro NC; June (Ted) Kearns of Rixeyville VA; 3 brothers Willard Dills of Port Orange Billy Dills (Wanda) of Calhoun GA Wayne Dills of Washington DC; one daughter Patricia Owens of Port Orange; one grandson Christopher Owens of New York City;one brother in law LA Schweitzer of Ormond Beach; one son in law Ron Owens of Deland and numerous nieces and nephews.
