Reflections of Her Life

Mrs. Norvilla L. Brown, age 65, departed this life on Wednesday, October 3 rd , 2018 at Florida Memorial Medical Center in Ormond Beach, Florida. Born February 2 nd , 1953 in Daytona Beach, Florida to the late Mr. James and Mrs. Ruby Lee Martin, she grew up in her beloved hometown. Her life would be changed by the love of Mr. Rudolph Brown of Ormond Beach, Florida. They joined in holy matrimony on July 4 th , 1972. From their love two sons were born, Damon Brown and Steven Brown. Early employment led her to Bethune Cookman University located in Daytona Beach, FL. The Brown's later relocated to Richmond Virginia where she would begin a career with the Virginia State Lottery. Eventually longing for home, the Brown's returned to Ormond Beach, Florida. There she began serving her community through employment with the Volusia County School System.

Norvilla loved God and stayed connected through fellowship. She attended Divine Deliverance Ministries (Daytona Beach, FL), New Found Favor Ministries (Palm Coast, FL), and New Harvest Christian Church (Daytona Beach, FL). Within those walls she found strength to continue her pursuit of a closer walk with God.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 46 years~ Rudolph Brown of Palm Coast, FL, two sons~ Damon Brown and Steven Brown both of Palm Coast, FL, brother~ James Martin Jr. of Ormond Beach, FL, sisters~ Arlene Martin and Darlene Mallory both of Ormond Beach, FL, Staci Wiggins of Daytona Beach, FL and Kim Holt of Daytona Beach, FL. She also leaves her five grandchildren who called her "MeMa" ~ Julian Brown, Ka'Dajah Brown, Tony Brown, Tyler Thomas and Jada Brown. As well, there is a host of siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that will miss her presence in their lives.
