Norman "Tiboy" Montminy age 82 died January 1 2011 in South Daytona Beach Florida. He was born in Allenstown NH on February 9 1928 to Ovila and Anna Grandmont Montminy and lived most of his life in Manchester NH. He will be greatly missed.
The family of Mr. Montminy will receive friends and family at 4p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday January 6 2011. A Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held at Our Lady Of Hope Catholic Church on Clyde Morris Road in Port Orange at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning.
Norman was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. And a member of the VFW Post #8214 of Manchester NH. American Legion #361 and Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4089 and a past president of the Alpine Club Manchester NH.
Those who are left to cherish the memory of Tiboy are his wife of 59 years Irene Provost Montminy 8 children consisting of 5 sons Roger A. Montminy of Germany Lucien R. Montminy of Greenfield NH Leo R. Montminy of Londonderry NH Marc Montminy of Pinardville NH and Alan F. Montminy of Hooksett NH two daughters Claire A Bruce of Franklin NH and Ann L Shannon of Ocala FL. There are 3 surviving siblings 2 sisters Constance Gagnon of Bedford NH Gertrude Smith of Bloomfield NM and 1 brother George Montminy of Manchester NH 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
Tiboy is preceded in death by one son Roland D Montminy of Alaska.
Internment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery Manchester NH at a later date.
The family asked that in lieu of flowers that a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
