Noreen Anne Leon, born in Jersey City, New Jersey on July 5, 1955, a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on January 30, 2024. She is survived by her husband, Francisco A. Leon, II and leaves behind her six children: Kathryn Spahn (Chris), Francisco Leon, III (Christine), Robert Leon, Megan Leach (Cory), John Leon and her namesake, Julieanna Noreen Leon. Noreen cherished her grandchildren, Aiden Spahn, Adeline Spahn, Liam Leach and Ensō Leon.
Forever remembered by her aunt, Julie Golden, siblings, Vincent Pickett, II (Linda), Timothy Pickett (Beth), Keiren Szymanski (Bob), Maryfran Drakeley (Tom) and her sisters-in-law Dunia Baker and Isabel Gomez (Hernan), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Noreen was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Catherine Pickett and her brother-in-law Carlos Luis Leon.
Noreen was a strong and selfless woman who gave her all to her family and community. Noreen touched many lives outside of family through her volunteerism as a board member in various non-profits, Girl Scout troop leader, and swim instructor. She created a tremendous amount of beautiful childhood memories for her children, as well as their friends.
Noreen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the beach and enjoyed dancing the night away any chance she could. She was loved deeply and will be missed dearly.
Services will be held on February 17, 2024, at Lohman Funeral Home, 1423 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The Family will begin accepting visitors at 11:30 a.m. Her service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow.
