Nona Thompson Fretwell, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014. She was born on September 27, 1929 in Rayville, Louisianna.

Preceded in her death: her husband, Marvin S. Fretwell, her parents; William and Nona Thompson, her sister, Bernice Harris. Surviving her death: her son, Greg Fretwell (Susie)of Daytona Beach, Florida, her daughters: Gail Fretwell Roberts (John) of Daytona Beach, Florida and Gwendolyn Fretwell of Fort Mill, S.C., one granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Fretwell one grandson, Matthew Gregory Fretwell, one brother, David Thompson of Lincoln, NE along with many nieces and nephews.

She was an Administrative Assistant at Mainland Junior High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. Nona's passions included her family, spending her time in North Carolina and her dog, Cuddles. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother was the joy of her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be at United Presbyterian Church, 730 Beville Road, Daytona Beach, Florida at 3 pm Saturday, March 1, 2014. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida
