Memorial Mass for Nicholas Vassallo age 95 will be Saturday April 12 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Mr. Vassallo was born September 3 1907 in Brooklyn New York. He lived for many years in Croton on Hudson New York. While residing there Mr. Vassallo worked in the private sector as a business owner and entrepreneur and spent much of his free time serving as the Chief of the Croton on Hudson Fire Department.

He moved to the Ormond Beach area 13 years ago to be near his daughter Barbara. He was a practicing Catholic all his life and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

He was married for 55 years to his wife Adele who predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Michael Sharkey of Ormond Beach Florida; his two granddaughters Laurie and her husband Satar Sheth of Ormond Beach Florida and Linda and her husband Keith Terry of Oregon; and his great grandson Jesse Michael. He was predeceased by his two brothers and two sisters.
