Nicholas James Sotirin, 73, Daytona Beach passed away on February 27 ^th . Nick was born on December 9 ^th in St. Augustine. He graduated from Seabreeze High School in 1968 and also attended Daytona State College.

As a teenager growing up in Daytona, Nick always had many friends and family surrounding him and even for a short time, worked at the Boardwalk. Nick then started working for his Mother and Father in the Entertainment Industry at several well-known establishments around town, notably The Zodiac Lounge on U.S.1 in South Daytona. For a time, he co-owned and co-managed the Phoenix Gym with his brother Emanuel and they also owned and leased the Drifter's Bar and Grill in Daytona Beach Shores.

Nick was married for seven years to Deborah Ann Shearer and they had one child, James N. Sotirin.

Later in his life, Nick owned and worked with his son at a used car dealership in Holly Hill called C.J.'s Auto Sales until 2013 when he spent his time caring for his mother at home until her passing in 2018.

Nick was pre-deceased by his Father, James D. Sotirin and his Mother, Clara G. Sotirin (many years later remarrying to George M. Houllis). Nick is survived by his only son James N. Sotirin, his only granddaughter Nikki M. Sotirin and his only brother Emanuel N. Sotirin. Nick was also survived by his first cousins Manny Gramatikos and Mitchell Sotirin of Daytona Beach, Jimmy Gramatikos of Chattanooga, TN and George Gramatikos of Jacksonville, FL. Nick was also survived by the last love of his life, Teresa Birnie, for almost 19 years and his best friend since attending high school, Ron Morrison.

Nick had a free spirit and a love for life, especially for all animals and their care. He also had a passion for photography and cars, especially corvettes. He was also active in the local racing circuit for a short time.

The Visitation and Prayer Services will be held at Lohman's Funeral Home on Bellvue on Monday, March 6 ^th from 4pm to 7pm. The Funeral Services will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Halifax on Tuesday, March 7 ^th at 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nick's honor to the Halifax Humane Society or to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
